Hey guys,
My name is Sean, I live in Northern Ohio. I have a few different boats and among them is an old 19 ft capri. It's an outboard open bow fwiw. I bought it for $200 last summer. It needed a transom and i've always wanted to try and tackle a transom repair. I figured for $200 I wasnt out much if I failed and if I succeed I would have a decent hull. Well, I succeeded on the repair and had it on the water a little over Labor Day.
Now that winter is here I am working on fixing all the broken stuff and making her shine like new again. When I got the boat it had about 3 different windshield kinda pieced together to represent a windshield. Half of the glass was missing and it just plain looks awful.

Here is where my question comes in....... Will a windshield off an 88 19ft open bow i/o fit onto my boat? I have a chance to buy a perfect windshield off a guy down the road who is parting out this boat. He bought it for the motor and gave me a very fair price and said I could take anything off it but the motor stuff. I am going to completely strip the interior and inventory everything and use what I can. Visually the windshields look close but I don't even have the whole original windshield on my boat to compare.
If anyone has any info on this I would appreciate it. I don't post much here but I am a constant lurker. I usually can find the answers I need with the SEARCH button but I am striking out on this one.

Thank you very much for your help!!

Welcome to iboats!

Bayliner did a make-over to the Capri line for the '87 model year (or maybe it was '88 ) so it won't be a direct replacement for your original setup. But since that original setup is apparently not really there, it's time to break out the tape measure to see if the later one will fit. I would be particularly concerned about the length of the side windows at the bottom. Of course, the width needs to be correct too.

Thanx for the reply. I haven't measured yet but my eyeballs are telling me that it won't work. Im gonna try it Saturday and see but I think the hulls are too different to work. I guess I will make it work or it will be for sale.
