Windshield Repair

I have a late 60's plexi (or poly) windshield that is structurally sound, but I can't see through it in bright sunlight or rain. There is some haze and a ton of fine scratches that make it difficult to see through in the above conditions. Anyone have a solution, product or cure to this dilemma? A new windshield is kind of costly so I am looking for a fix before I make the decision to buy a new windshield.

Thanks

Re: Windshield Repair

There are several other post about this. I have the same problem and plan to do like another guy has done and just cut and bend a piece of lexan to fit. Cheap compared to a new one (if you can find it) for 5 to 6 hundred bucks or more. check it out

this stuff is pretty good. I have used it on face shields with a bit of luck. its not going to be like new, but it might get you by for now.

I agree. We use Nuvus plastic polish on plexiglass aircraft canopies and it works very well when used in combination with a lot of elbow grease.
However, it only removes scratches, it doesn't do a thing for fogging or discoloration.
