i have a center console and i need to put the windshiled on it, its a plastic windshield and orginally the boat had some rubber inserts that went in between the windshiled and the center counsil to protect the windshield from breaking. problem for me is i lost those rubber inserts and i checked with west marine and they dont have them. anyone know what im talking about or where i can get them? the bolt for the windshield goes right though these stoppers and then is bolted into the center cosole. there about 1 1/8 or so wide, black, and they are in a cylender shape. thanks guys!

Try a well stocked hardware store (not a home depot or lowes) try a small store they have all those rubber do-dads with the nuts and bolts.

I found mine at an old time hardware store. Ask the guy in the department. They also have books and catalogs to order from for the obsure stuff, may have to do a little digging but there is something close enough out there.

Yep, our Ace hardware in town is THE BEST source for stainless steel hardware and misc grommets, etc.

They carry the 'hilman' line of hardware, the little cardboard drawers that pull out with compartments in them. Some times not the cheapest, but when you're looking for a 3/8 fine thread, stainless steel nylon locking nut, they're the only game in town.
