Windshield

A buddy and I have a 1972 starcraft that we got last year. Windshield was broken and we're looking to replace it. Got a used one in great shape shipped to us, only to have FedEx completely shatter one end, so now we're still looking. I looked into fabricating one myself, but honestly don't have the money or the means at this point. Starcraft won't make one and the only other option would be to ship the frame and shield to one of the windshield repair places that'll charge me a fortune to fit a new piece of acrylic to the frame. If anyone has any ideas on where to buy a used one in decent condition I'd appreciate it-doesn't have to be the same one, just needs to be ~5' (give or take an inch or two) across. Taylor made makes them but your lookin at around $500 + shipping.

If you have the frame then making one out of lexan will be your least expensive route.

Thanks guys - yeah Taylor Made is a bit out of my price range, but I'm gonna look into this lexan stuff. I just can't tell if he used a heat gun to get the curve or if the material is just flexible enough that he simply bent it into his frame.

I had the curved glass in my windshield shatter last year
I took it to a local glass place they installed a lexan windshield for $250 ready the next day
only way you can tell is if you push on it or wear polarized glasses it
but i couldnt beat it for the price

It's flexible enough and he just bent it.
