I am planning to take the boat out for a trip this weekend for probably the last run before winter.

What fuel treatment/procedure should I follow to ensure the carbs and fuel lines are kept in good condition during the lay up period?

I have a 20litre tank that I can treat and use for the day to ensure treated fuel is run right through the system.

Cheers,

Donald.

Re: Winter Fuel Prep

Use some gasoline stabilizer in the fuel. No need to run it all day, just long enough to get it into carbs and fuel lines. Some folks spray fogging oil into carbs while motor is idleing on flush device. Change the gear oil (very important),a nd pump some grease into the fittings.

We are just getting started on summer here in the US. I presume you are Down Under?
