Sunday - bought like-new snowblower at garage sale; $50
Tuesday - Fetch, round-trip 44 miles with SUV towing trailer; $9
Wednesday - Awake to 23 inches of snow; priceless!

Especially to a charter member of the day-late, dollar-short crowd...

Tuesday I was watching the Brown Trout dice to spawn with that big female in the shallows of the creek. Hope they worked it out because today all I can see is ice.

And Plainsman, I presume that 4 inches of snow you got last week didn't count (Thursday wasn't it?). This is some early, early weather (global warming I presume...)

Going out in the boat for the last time Sunday. Then I will wait and see if the white stuff comes above average like the "Farmer's almanac" says.

It is almost a given that I can read a Jay Merrill post and agree or disagree with a tip of the hat for the obvious thought and effort that went into the offering.
On VERY rare occasions he stretches the envelope ... in this case I am tempted to ask either Plainsman or Hunky Dory, "who wants to hold him down while we use him to make a snow angel?"......

I bought a new Ushanka while in Poland over the summer, just bought s new used gas auger yesterday, and have plenty of green bottles for my buddy heater.

73 here yesterday....in the 50's today.
I did go get new tarps and a big bottle of Stabil yesterday.

I would like to get one more outing before i wrap the boat up for winter.
