Winter motor storage while under resto

I bought a Mercruiser 3.0 off a donor boat to go into my boat that is under a full resto. I am wondering if I should take any precautions to store the motor over the winter. It is in my garage that will most likely never be below 45 degress or so. There is no water in it and no fuel supply. The oil was changed before I bought it. It has not been run since it was started when I bought it.

By the way, this is my first boat. I do understand the winterizing process, just haven't had to do it yet and am not sure what my best plan of action is for this situation.

Thanks

Re: Winter motor storage while under resto

As long as not a many year resto just cover it up and hide it in the corner. If it is points ignition you may have to clean or replace the points when ready to run.
