I have a new 25 hp, Merc. People are talking about winterizing their engines . I have a question- I plan to use the boat and motor until mid January. Here in Pennsylvania that means very cold weather. Could be in the 20's or below. What advise could you give on using a motor in such cold weather ? I plan to winterize it after the duck season. Thanks M_S  :p

Re: WINTER USAGE

None really needed other that dropping the motor down after you pull it out, and let all the water in the cooling system drain out........ Also if storing outside, make sure motor is tilted all the way down. That way no rainwater will fill up the propshaft housing, freeze, and "Ouch".
