First time ever doing this, I have drained the water out of the motor, but now I need to know where to put in the antifreeze.

Could someone please help?
Thanks!

Re: Winterazation help

Stick piece of wire up the block drains to make they aren't plugged with rust, take the big hose off the lower waterpump and let it dump, don't forget the exhaust manifold drain, I've never done antifreeze, air doesn't freeze thats why you drain it, if it's a salt water motor than yes maybe some corrosion inhibitor is the ticket, don't forget the drive has to be drained also.

When I opened the drain, water came out for about 10 minutes, so I don't believe its blocked.

exhaust manifold drain? Glad you said that, I had no idea, but where is it?

I don't know which hose is the lower waterpump!

When you say the drive has to be drained, your talking about the stern correct? and to drain it, You just put it in the FULL DOWN position correct?

Everything I have been told says that I am suppossed to put in the antifreeze, so I already bought it. I just don't know where to dump it in at.

Sorry, but im just so confused!

Thanks again!

Ok I'll quote from the book.
Loosten and slide clamp back. Remove and drain long hose at thermostat housing.
Disconnect and drain large hose at waterpump housing.

Open one exhaust manifold petcock

Open one cylinder block petcock

(Back to my words)

There are cavities on the verticle drive pivot housing that need drained, two plugs on the starboard side and one on the port side you need to tilt the drive up to see them, best thing is to just take the whole drive in where it's warm, then you inspect and grease the u-joints among other things.

but get that exhaust manifold drained!!
