Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum and new to boating. I have an Ozark boat with a 1975 Johnson 85hp outboard. I was wondering what are your recommendations about winterizing the fuel system? I read the section on winterizing and didn't notice anything about fuel. Thanks in advance.

Re: Winterize Fuel System

There are enough posts regarding how to handle long term storage of fuel to make your eyes bleed. Any of the fuel system treatments like Stabil, SeaFoam, etc., are intended for long term storage. Add it to the fuel, run the engine long enough to get it into the carbs, shut it down and put it to bed (assuming you've done the other pre-storage stuff).

Please forgive my noobness and thanks!!
