Was confused a bit about draining the manifold/riser assembly. I found the two brass fittings on the block and drained both port and starboard sides of the block. When it came to the manifolds, I was lost. There were no fittings to remove. Found the owners manual for the engine and it said to remove the front water hoses and that it was sufficient to drain them, however, I also removed the two hose stubs at the rear of the manifolds and a lot more water came out. Also removed the ps cooler hose and large water pump hose and raw water pump hoses to drain everything out. I'm still concerned the manifolds will have water in them though even though I did everything the manual said to do.

By removing the plugs at the rear of the manifolds you adequately drained them. You should be good to go.
