I normally just stabilize the fuel and run the motor to distribute the fuel. While she is running on the flusher, spray the fogging oil into her air intakes. After she is smoking well, stall her or turn her off and let her drain. Change the gear oil, pump grease into the zerks, and grease the steering rod. Optionally spray the block with anti-corrosion stuff.
Add fuel stabilizer as posted and run engine for at least 10-15 minutes to as circulate the fuel. DO NOT spray fogging oil into throttle body intake as it will settle into air handler and possibly cause engine to run away. After the engine has circulated the fuel just shut it off and remove spark plugs and shoot a shot of fogging oil or a squirt of 2 stroke oil in the cylinder and rotate flywheel by hand several turns to coat cylinders...
I appreciate it. Other motors (usually carbed ones) are easy, but this DFI kind of has me for a loop. Should I drain the fuel reservoir in any way. or just leave it 'filled', or leave it as-is?
