Winterizing 115hp Johnson and then OOOOPS!!! Help!

Hey guys, I was helping a friend to winterize his boat the other day. This is his 1st boat so I thought I could teach him a few things.

Everything was fine until we were fogging. Ran the motor and fogged the carbs until it shut down just like the fogging oil can said to do. Then I pulled the plugs and told him to spray some oil in each cylinder and spin the flywheel over one time.

I took a phone call and then when walking back up the driveway I saw he was doing something else.......

It seems that the straw came off of the fogging oil and he actually pushed it completely into the cylinder. We can not see it, can not feel it with a small piece of wire, spinning the motor over by hand I see or hear nothing moving.

Is it possible it fell down the exhaust leg or do I have to pull the head for him????

or it could have gone into the intake area!!!! id get some double sides tape on the end of a wire...make a ball of it and try to stick to it...

but taking the head off might be the solution....DO NOT rotate the flywheel any more.....if its sitting in there...you might have a chance to get it...but the more you rotate the engine, the more it has a chance to slip into an exhaust or intake port.

If you turned the mtr over after the straw fell in it is probably all ground up by now. Once you start the mtr again it will just burn up.

can you rent one of those tiny flex end video units? i think costco sells them . jmo, but id be finding the plastic tube before that motor turned one more revoluton.
