Hello all, I am planning on winterizing my boat, and this is my first winter season as a boat owner. I have a 20ft everglades with 2005 yamaha 115 4stroke. The boat is kept in a covered lift slip on salt water. I live in South Texas, so it doesn't get too cold here--might freeze once a year. I plan to run it at least once a month during winter, keep it full of gas, etc. I have a motor cover, and a console cover. What all do I need to do to keep it in the best shape possible through this season?

Re: Winterizing 1st Timer

Do you have winter in S Texas? LOL
I doubt that you need to do much at all, other than your normal routine.
If your going to leave it sit for awhile id just use the muffs to rince it out good, a little sta-bil, or seafoam in the tank and call it good.
Fogging is for longer storage.

I wish i had a covered lift...:)
