winterizing 4 stroke

have 1998 mercury 4 stroke 50hp bigfoot,what is proper way to winterize ?

Run stabilized gas through it and change crankcase and lower unit oil. Might not hurt to drain carb bowls, although I've never done that on my 9.9. Then again, I had to rebuild the carb this summer (8 years old) so maybe draining is in my future. My 60 is EFI and I run Stabil all the time so just the oil changes there.

If this motor is in Kentucky, the layup period is relatively short. Fogging is not necessary. Won't hurt anything, but not necessary.
