I have a 120hp mercrusier i/o 2.5 l motor. The person who i bought this boat from said he poured the antifreeze down the top hose at the front of the motor till it came out the drain valve, port side of motor.Does this also drain the water out of the manifold as well doing it this way?

You MUST drain the water before you put the antifreeze in.

Of course, after you drain everything, why would you want to add antifreeze?? Air don't freeze and crack blocks.

Is there only one drain valve on a 120 mercrusier motor and does this drain also clear the water out of the manifold as well? Or is there a drain in the manifold as well. Thank you for the info Dotsadie

Should be one on the underside of the manifold and one on the block. Both are on the manifold side of the engine.

One drain on the block, one on the manifold, and you need to remove the hose off the circulation pump and drain it.

Make sure you use a stiff wire to probe the block and manifold drain holes to make sure they aren't plugged up with rust and dirt.
