Winterizing Done!!

Winterized the boat today and put a new cover on it for the winter too. At least I have the peace of mind that it's done for the season and don't have to worry at night about if the temp is going to drop below 32*.

What really bummed me out is it was 73? here today.

yep, today is my day to say that too wb2. finished the drive just today with fresh hp gear lub after 2 days of pressure/vac. testing (it passed).. now i'm done.
i think i did a good job of it... completed a 40 item checklist i've made for my rig... waxed, 303ed, and windexed everything. greased, lubed, oiled, filled, tested everything. even repacked the trailer wheel brgs.... i can't think of anything else to do to it till spring...

so did ya replace yer impeller this year wb2.... i'm on the yearly replacement plan for pre alpha and apha1 type....

yep skargo. not only 73 today, but the last two days too... three great boating days in a row and i been working on winterizing for a month....

My condolensces guys..If ya go through BW (boat withdrawels) come on down to SWFL and we'll cure that temporaily at least.

thanks for the offer cbk. better be careful, someone might take ya up on it...

only good thing i'll say about winterizing is that yearly pm gets done on a regular schedual + now my boat looks like new... well, as new as a '75 can look anyways...

Ya same here, It was the cold nights that had me worried, Lowest so far was 37* Ya it was time.

Yep had a new one put on when I hit that rock and had the new/used lower put on. So good to go there, only 4 months old.

Well If I get a chance to head down that way, You'll be the first one I call. I've been going through withdrawls now for a month...Ahhhg

From your help and reading your posts..I am familiar with your strict PM schedule..

Had me thinking, maybe you guys up north take BETTER care of your boats because winterizing forces it or presents you the perfect opportunity to do so..

Where as here, where ya can basically boat 365 days a year..Does it get ignored or prolonged too much because "it can wait till next month"???

The only thing good about being done winterizing is getting ready for snowmobiling. Both my boats are done and tucked away. MN has already had a couple of small snow falls.

I got both snowmobiles and the snow-blower ready this past weekend. Fired and tuned them all up.

Now I can?t wait for the lake to freeze so I can make the hockey rink and start snowmobiling.
