All new to this forum and to boats.
My boat has a 5.7 lt engine, 1999 REGAL Commadore. Today when I began searching for the engine drain plugs(blue in color) I located Port Side, from cylinder block and bottom of the exhaust manifold.
On the starboard side I located the y-fitting drain plug and also disconnected the red (hot hose) which I gather is the cylinder block drain as there is no plug in that spot due to plumbing.
I removed the four rubber hoses from the cooling system and drained as much water out of them by bending them over.
My question is, I helped another boater winterize his 5.7 lt. Year not known although also Merc Cruiser. He had five blue plugs. Now I realize in actuality I removed four when considering the hot water line. Have I missed a plug, and if so where will I find it?
In my owners manual someone has used it as a guild prior to my owning the boat. They have placed a question mark on C- water tube drain plug located on the Port side of the engine.
If you know, email me directly, I?d appreciate it!!
Thanks!
