I have a 1994 Chris Craft Concept with a 5.0 litre OMC (i.e. Ford). Question I have is on winterizng it. Two years back I bought one of those winterizing kits where you hook up a container of antifreeze to the earmuffs and run the antifreeze through it. Last year, since I needed service I went ahead and had the local boat mechanic winterize it. He told me those 'self winterizing' kits are no good and don't properly winterize the boat against freezing. My question is he correct of just trying to sell me a expensive winterzing. By the way I live in North Carolina so it rarely gets below freezing.
