I have a link on how to winterize your boat and one of the step says to remove the hose running to the exhaust manifold at the thermostat housing. Pour anti-freeze into the hose until it comes out the manifold drain ****, then install & tighten the drain ****. Continue to fill the manifold with anti-freeze until it comes out the prop.
The problem I'm having is the coolant is not coming out at the prop but coming out where there's a little exhaust hole by the transom. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Wayne

Do you "Air don't freeze" guys use compressed air to help remove water from the block or simply let her drain? Also, do you remove the cover of the raw water pump or how do you get the water from the lowest parts (volvo)

Nope,......

As long as All the drains are removed,+ not Clogged,...... Gravity is all that's needed.....
And,..... I can't comment on a Volvo,....
But,....
Just lowering the drive is all it takes on a Mercruiser.......

I also just drain.
I repeat this often but behind every drain plug is water. If none comes our or it comes out sluggish, poke something in the hole to get it flowing.
I have a friend who lost two engines because he didn't know that.
He power loaded his boat, sucked sand in the water intake and it plugged the drains.
They found this out while replacing the engines.
