Live in Northern Mn. Getting ready to my 18.5 Lund Tyee to sleep for the winter. Have a 89 Johnson 115HP outboard on the back this boat is used for fishing (live well etc). I know that I should run Stabil thru the fuel sys, and fog the carbs and cys,. But what position should the motor be in full tilt up/down (the unit is coevered) also should you jack up the tralor and takr the pressure of the wheel bearings?? Also any hints for puttin the boat away would be helpful besides moving somewhere warmer. It will be stored for 5 mopnths in temps rewaching 20-30 below. Thanks>>>later the loadmaster

Re: Winterizing

Change the lower unit oil and trim engine all the way down. Jacking up trailer is not a bad idea. Make sure to get any water which may be inside boat....live well or bilge. It is not a bad idea to place a plastic bag over lower unit and secure with bungee.

One more thing: If you have a speedometer remove the hose going to it and drain water out and same goes if you you have a water pressure gage.
