wiper arm removal

My 1998 Wellcraft 240 SE windshield wiper does not work. Not a big deal for me so I'd like to take off the wiper arm. Is there some kind of clip or some trick to taking that thing off?

They are usually just a push fit onto a splined shaft with a locking nut. Just loosen the nut and pull. It will probably be on quite tight so try and rock it from side to side a little. Be careful using any type of lever - the gelcoat won't like it
