My boat has a remote spot light mounted on the pulpit. It was there when I bought the boat. The controls for it will be mounted at the helm. My boat is a 28' Bayliner cruiser. How, or where can I run the wire from the helm to the pulpit so it would be concealed. Is there a way i might be able to snake it through the upholstered lining through the cabin? I kind of know what to do, but if anyone has any ideas would be great.

Hate to ask a dumb question but are you sure the cable is not already installed, who would put in a remote spot with no cable?

Well the guy I bought the boat from, installed the light and thats it. He never got around to finishing the job. I have the controls, and about 6' of wire sitting on the dash. I need to run an extra 25' or so of wire, and splice them together. Just doesn't seem to be an easy way to do it.

Check along the sides of the boat for access panels that might allow you to snake the cable forward.
