I bought two used Mag 10 downriggers a while back and finally have had time to start to mount them on my boat (19' Starcraft). I am useing a 110 type plug (male & female) with 12-2 rubber covered wire. The wire is about 4' long overall and connected to the battery with a 25 amp fuse. When I pluged the wire together and hit the toggle switch nothing happens. I do not have the the downrigger mounted to the boat yet, just trying to see if it will work. Am I missing something or do I have to have the downrigger mounted or in the water to make it work? I have 12v comeing out of the power plug. but haven't taken the cover off yet to see if there's juice to the motor. Any comment's or advise would be appreciated. Thanks MM55
