Thanks Bob, but was looking at getting them so I could put one in the FIL's trailer that is right behind our house so I can monitor him at night.

I wouldn't suggest talking back to your FIL.... only thing worse would be talking back to your MIL...lol<br /><br />Seriously though, you should be able to find a cost effective system that has 2-way communication. I tried three different sets here. The only way they work is if they are on the same circuit breaker.<br /><br />There are RF wireless now, but they are a lot more $$. Have not tried those yet. <br /><br />I also saw that they now have these multiple handset cordless phones with the two way talk feature like the Nextel cell phones. That looked interesting too.

Yea the one's for the same circuit would not work since he is another home behind me.
