I dont understand the directions.
It says:
Red..........to ignition
Black........ground
Pink.........power for meomory to battery
Orange.......Power Antenna Switch

So does that mean I can just attach the Red, pink, and Orange wires to (+) of the battery and the black wire to the (-) of the battery.

Is this going in your boat? If so, leave the antenna wire unhooked, unless you have a power antenna. If you hook all of the wires to the + side of the battery, you will have to remember to always turn off the stereo, but it will work fine like that.

Do you not have a fuse panel near there instead of running the wires back to the battery?

Yes I got a fuse panel. So if would i just attach them to the + wire and the black to the - wire? If the antenna is a dip pole style do i need the antenna wire going to +?

Re: wirering

Look for an unused place on the fuse panel and hook-up the red/pink wires to it and attach the black to the negative bus bar. You do not need to hook any power up to that kind of antenna. You should have a thicker black wire that comes from the bottom of the antenna and plugs into the radio, either directly in the back of it or it will have it own short plug that it will connect to.

Re: wirering

Make sure you are attaching the black wire to ground! If you attach the red wire to an ignition controlled wire, then the stereo will turn off and on with the key. Which may not be good if you have an older boat that uses points. If the key is on for very long it will burn the points up. If you attach both wires (red/pink) to a constant 12v, then you can just turn the motor off and listen to the radio while you fish or swim, there is very little draw on the battery with stereo off, so if you keep your battery charged, then you won't have any problems.

You are welcome. The speakers are OK! Nothing to brag about though. Auto speakers work fine in a boat, just try to keep water off. The will last alot longer if they are not paper cones. Save your pennies and buy a decent set of speakers and you will like them better, especially if you have a decent head unit.

You think it would be better to build a wood box and cut a hole for the speaker and paint the box with that water proof decking paint stuff.
