I have an 1986 85HP Johnson
On the control box there are two wires connected to a rubber plug that can be pulled off of the control box. The plug is just under the tention control. The plug has two wires coming out of it and a third wire that is pluged off by the factory, not used. I assumed it was for the kill switch, but with the wires not running to anything or unplugged from the connector the motor will start.
What are the wires and where do they go.
