Wiring diagram for Gen 1& 2 4000 panel mount shift assembly

Hey guys and gals,

Almost boat season again. I am working on my newest restore project, a Tahoe Q7, 2003 vintage. The panel mount shift assembly is a generation 1, 4000 model. I purchased a replacement 4000 model but it is a Gen 2. The wiring is different for the handle trim switch. My gen 1 has (4) wires and the gen 2 has (3) wires.

Does someone know how to mate these up?

Ayuh,... No idea, but the trim only uses 3 wires, power, up, 'n down...
