Wiring diagram

Let see if I can get this without making it to confusing. I bought a 1993 17' Sunbird Corsair 170SS and took the motor, controls and wiring harness from the engine to the ignition switch and gauges and put it on a 1976 Angler. Now I would like to find a diagram to see if I need all the wires in the bundle. I was told to contact Sunbird and ask for the diagram for that boat, but since they have gone out of business its kinda hard and was wondering if anyone would have a basic diagram for how to install this harness. Thanks

Normally the wiring between control and engine is engine manufacturer specific. The dashboard wiring is boat specific, and the engine wiring usually provides power and control and overheat signals for the gauges like the tach and temp buzzer, but nothing else.

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish by asking what wires don't you need. I would get a wiring diagram for your motor, so you understand the function of the wiring.
