Hello,

We are rewireing an old Mckee Craft. At one point there was an exposed wire (Non-insulated copper wire I believe) that traveled from the center console to the transome and connected to a bolt that went throught the tramsome. Any idea what this was for ? Also, I remember getting a shock each time I climbein into the boat from the water. Was this because the wire was exposed and sitting in small amount of bilge water?

Thanks for your help

Hi maillon, sounds like it may have been part of a ground system or counterpoise for a radio transmitter.
