Wiring from the center consol to the main battery

I have a 23” Sea Era boat (Sea Fox). From the battery to the center consol electrical panel I see a main positive and negative wire. But I also see two other smaller wires (14 ASW and 16 ASW) both positive and negative running directly to the battery. What types of devices do you run directly to the battery vs picking up the power from the consol electrical panel and grounding to the center consol bus bar ground?

They would help Radios, or other Electronics to get Good Clean Power......

It reduces alternator noise in the electroncs. Or its a constant power supply to a digital stereo. They need that to maintain memory, especially if there is a battery switch involved.

Yep, I have 3 additional wires that go to my batteries, two 4-AWG for my radio power, and a 14-AWG for the memory...
