Hey guys. While reading a thead below, I remembered I need some help with an issue. I had to remove the fuel tank to restore the boat. I can't make heads or tails of the wiring from the sending unit to the fuel gauge any more. I think the gauge wires ran up and around the bow of the boat, down the side, and under the deck to the tank. Everything worked perfectly before the work, so I'm sure that the sending unit and gauge work fine. Would it be possible for you guys to walk me through maybe starting from scratch and wiring it up?

Pink wire runs from the sender to the "S" (sender) terminal on the gauge. The metal shell of the sending unit must have a ground wire run from it to the NEG terminal of the battery or to a ground buss. The "L" (internal light) terminal on the gauge connects to the "L" terminal on any other gauge, or to the NAV terminal on the NAV/ANC switch. The "I" (ignition) terminal on the gauge connects to the "I" terminal on any other gauge or to the "I" terminal on the ignition switch. The "G" (ground) terminal on the gauge connects to ground. If the fuel filler fitting on the boat is metal, you need a bonding wire from it to the tank and to ground.

Thanks a bunch! That sounds like a very detailed set of instructions. I'm thinking most of the wiring should still be there. To the best of my knowledge, all that I cut or removed was right at the tank. I hope that I can use the information above and chase down the wires to the correct two and get them attached back to the tank in the appropriate places.
