hey guys..
Its been a while since I have worked on my boat, but I tore into int pretty hard lately.
Project history-
My boat is a 92 Pursuit 2150 with an I/O. The factory motor was a 4.3 V6. when I purchased the boat the engine was junk, so I pulled it with the intention on replacing it was a V8. I had a V8 for my old boat that I had never installed. The new motor is a 5.7V8 and its currently built with all merc. FWC accessories. When I first stated this project I found that the original V6 harness would not fit onto the V8. My V8 had no wiring harness. At some point I ordered from an online source V8 airing harness that would match my boat.
Question-
In my V8 harness that should fit 92 Alpha V8s there is a yellow wire with a black tracer. It is grouped with the wires at starter area and the solenoid/breaker area. What is this to?
I my original power was set up with the Thunderbolt IV ignition attached to the exhaust elbow. I do not have a V-8 ignition module, how do I select the correct one for my engine? I know that there are several options.
Thanks for the info
Tom
