Wiring harness/Throttle connection swap?

Hi All,

Quick question.... Will my wiring harness and throttle cables from my existing 1980 Johnson 140 work if I swap to a 1999 Evinrude 150 (motor does not come with wiring harness/cables)??

I have combed the threads on this subject already and cannot seem to find mildly close topic??

The throttle & shift cables will work as is. You'll have to get adaptors for the wiring harness. Any John / Evin dealer will have them or can get them. You'll need the adaptors for a 1996 & newer engine to a 1995 & older boat harness.

If your not going to use the system check monitor use adapter#176349 If you are going to use it you will need the 176345 adapter and buy the guage also.

Hey thanks so much for the responses...

I would like to have the alarms and all... is that an all-in-one gauge by chance?
