Some questions. I bought a Powerob tec remote f9r my 1994 125 Hp mercury outboard. The remote has a five prong female plug on it assuming for a pigtail to the gauges. Anyone know where I can buy one link would be great. Also coming off remote a blue with white line wire, a red wire a brown wire and a green with white stripe wire. Is blue for night lights and not sure of the rest .

The 5 prong plug is P/N a-84-86396A4 I believe. Grey is tach sender, purple is switched +12VDC, black is ground, tan/blue is oil injection alarm, brown/white is trim sender.
You need to check the function of the loose wires.
Brown is likely temp gauge. Ground the brown wire on the temp sender (if you have one) and see if it grounds.
Not sure about the others. The internet or a service manual should tell you.

Cant seem to find anyt5hing for the powerob tec remote on the internet. I guess I use mercury wiring diagrams. I appreciate the info I'd like to get a tach hooked up and the oil injection alarm for sure. is the trim sender for another location for a trim control thanks.

Trim sender is for a trim gauge.

If you get the Mercury harness or generic equivalent, the wire colors should match Mercury's.

Navigation lights, including gauge lights would normally be run thru a dedicated switch on the dashboard. The engine wiring would not be involved as it doesn't know when it is dark.

However, I usually just wire the gauge lights to the purple wire. When the ign is on, the gauges are lit. Much simpler....
