Wiring Jon Boat

Wanting to wire my 14 foot jon boat for lights and a few acc. Wife picked up a Boater Sports Fuse Block P/N # 31546 today while shopping. Salesman said it had a negitieve ground I don't think so. Anyone have any experience with these?

Why don't you think so? Fuse blocks can be wired either way but that is of no concern. Heres a typical fuse block. The group of spade connectors in the lower right corner is the ground buss. The screw terminal in that group connects directly to the Negative terminal on the battery. The screw in the middle of the block (beneath the label) is the positive terminal which feeds all of the fuses. That gets connected either directly to the battery positive terminal or through a switch that becomes a MASTER shutoff. Each of the individual circuits you wish to power then connect to one of the spade terminals adjacent to each fuse.
