Hello all. I am fairly new to boating and I am trying to find some literature and/or diagrams on my boat. I have an 84 rajin cajun boat and it needs a little tlc.Someone has been in the wiring harnesses that definitely didnt belong there...Is there an actual owners manual for this boat type and where would I find one? Iknow that most wiring is kind of standard but i am unfamiliar with marine color codes and wiring.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have ordered a manual for the motor so I think I will be ok there.. just trying to find some info on the actual boat itself.

Re: Wiring /Manual question

At 26 years old, I doubt you'll find the "manual" you are looking for. However, that's not what you really need. All you need to know is what wires supply power to what lights/pumps. If you're comfortable with a multimeter, you can find what power you have going where, and if there is no evidence of power, you can check for continuity between the wires at the helm and the wires at various equipment.

It's not really hard, but the meter is your best friend. From the sounds of it, you must have a bit of a rats nest under that helm...
