I have a 93 Four winns vista and need to install a new kill switch. I found out it wasn't working when I looked at the wiring it wasnt even hooked up so who knows if it even works as it doesnt appear so. They seem to be inexpensive so i'm going to install a new one but I cant find anywhere on how to wire it.

Re: wiring new kill switch help

You'll need a normally open KS.

You'll run the wire out of the ignition switch marked "i" into the switch. The other end will then run to the wire currently connected to "I"

Atleast this is how mine is attached.

Re: wiring new kill switch help

Some of the kill switches have 4 blades on them. 2 of them work on a normally open, and 2 work on a normally closed model. You might have to which one ones of the blades you need to use.

If you have just purchased a replacement it should tell you exactly how to do it.

It normally is inline after the start switch, coming off of the "I" blade (purple wire on Merc's) and then continues back to the motor.
