wiring on a mercruiser trim

hello, i have a mercruiser power trim, and it was working fine, then it stopped working, then worked again, and stopped again, i have the main blue red green wires, but theres also a purple wire, now it goes to nowhere, i get a click noise sometimes when i try it. do you know where this purple wire goes? and what else should i look for.<br /><br />thanks todd

todd<br />you just have to break down and get a service manual between the problem you are haveing with water in the motor and this trim pump problem it will be the best 40 dollars you ever spent the pictures and diagrams will help you to understand how all the parts work toghter<br /><br />tommays
