Today I bought a 7.5 merc, gas tank, and very nice stand, for $175.
I knew it wasn't getting spark when I bought it so I knew it was either coils or stator (assuming im right in this assumption?) so I knew a good bit of money would have to be put into it to fix it. Im not too concerned about this because the motor is exceptionally clean with absolutely no scratches or blemishes on the lower unit.
While I look for a stator I have a couple wiring questions that I was hoping someone could help me with...In the pics below I will ask the questions pertaining to the wires in the picture.
Here you can see the wire that I am holding. What does it go to? (It was disconnected when I got it).
(On the new stator) where will this wire go? I know where the green one next to it goes (on the coil pack opposite the bolt the white wire is on right?) but once again, this one was disconnected.
And here is a picture of her in her entirety....I must say-I do like the stand!!
