Wiring Schematic for a 1990 Bayliner Capri 180

I'm going to add a couple things to my boat. However, I don't have the owners manual. Where can I find out the fuse box schematics?<br /><br />Specifically, I'm going to wire in a Tach & Volt meter. Most wires will go back to the outboard granted...but I'd like to run whatever I can off the open fuse circuits.<br /><br />Thanks!

What kind of engine do you have? Year?, HP?, etc.

The outboard is a 1992 Force 90HP. I have both the Seloc & Clymer's service manuals for the Force outboard, but nothing on the boats wiring....

Wiring schematics for boats are somewhat rare (I did not even get one with a brand new Lowe).<br /><br />Plus, it is doubtful that any add-on accessories were ever documented.<br /><br />I suggest a notepad and flashlight. You will get to know the wiring in your boat quite well, plus get some really good stretching exercises.<br /><br />Fortunately, small boats (usually) don't have a lot of wiring, so creating your own schematic, including documenting fuses, etc. is do-able.<br /><br />Besides, you will probably see some crappy connections that you may want to re-do anyway.<br /><br />Good luck.

Yeah, I'd have thought there'd have been a sticker next to the fuse panel, but I guess that's asking too much. <br /><br />I did get the tach wired up this weekend. It was easier than I'd anticipated, but I may have crossed a circuit in setting up the gauge's light, so I'll have to recheck that.<br /><br />The voltmeter might be a little trickier as I've not done one of those before.<br /><br />I'll keep at it.
