I have a ‘87 Black Max 175 that I’m trying to wire up my throttle trim switch. My question is what do I need to connect the wiring from trim switch to trim motor? There are 3 wires coming from trim motor 1 green 1 purple 1 red and there are 3 wires coming from trim switch 1 green 1 blue 1 red. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

You don't wire trim switch directly to trim motor...you wire to trim solenoids mount next to carbs.

Yes, sorry I didn’t explain it correctly. The motor is wired to solenoids next to carbs than the wiring coming from solenoids to the stern are as described.

From your trim switch to the small terminals on solenoids(ones with 16 gauge wires). Red to red(10 gauge if I remember) and needs to be fused(3amp). blue to blue and green to green.
