Recently I posted a post concerning corrosion cells appearing on my toons. I appreciate the reply posts concerning what it could be and I eventually found the probleml, bilge pump wiring. I set out to fix wiring by removing bilge pump, since i have no use for them, one thing lead to another and the next thing i know I am rewiring whole boat, moving batteries for better weight distribution, adding navigation lights, underskinning deck, removing live wells and adding premium stereo system. In the wiring scheme I found two of these things, see attached pictures, mounted under my console hooked to nothing. Does anyone know what they are and can i chunk em?
We bought this toon used and in very good shape two years ago and can't stay off the water. It is a 20' 1997 SunCrusier powered by a 2001 90hp two stroke. I am a toon junky.

Re: Wiring what not?

The first one is a warning buzzer the second one I don't know.

Does the buttom push in or flip like a light switch?

The warning buzzer I would keep, if you pull it what ever it is suppose to warn you about won't get done, if ti is for the engine that could get expensive, the other one looks like a switch so if there is nothing you need it for you could pitch that.

That is sort of how boats go, I have rewired mine twice now, once in small bits and once for a rebuild, sounds like you will have a nice rig once you are done

Bingo!, that you are right. it is a warning buzzer and I bet it was meant for engine. I will get that incorporated back into wiring scheme.
thanks for the help.

I thought the same thing when the PO told me he replaced the bulge pump. I thought he meant the live well pump. My tritoon ski locker in the center toon fills with water (rain or swimmers, etc) through the hatch opening and periodically truns itself on. First time was in my driveway while I cahnged the angle to hitch it up. Tons of water came pouring out and I thought - Oh oh.

OMC/BRP warning buzzer, there SHOULD be a quick connect on the OMC harness for it, that is if you have an Johnson/Evinrude outboard.

It came with them. the previous owner had a fish cleaning board on back of boat and liked volume when cleaning fish. I have no desire to do alot of fishing and since we had converted the live wells to storage everytime someone hit the pump switch everything got wet. Soo..since they were the culpert to my problem I took em off with all the plumbing and live wells, gave them to a friend on the local lake Darbonne in Farmerville, LA and we are both the happier.
