Re: wisconsin

Howdy Ch
I usually do Ole gator Eyes in Northern Minn.
My Brother is doing leach lake as we Speak. He is telling me that Red and White DB sixes are working the best. He in Cranking in 12 feet with high weed cover and doing a circle eight just before it reaches the Boat. Seems like Ole Gator Eyes is hitting just before the end. Terminators are also a good Choice when cranking. Heading up to LOTW end of Sept myself. Good Luck........

What lake are you going to? Maybe I fished it and can give you some pointer's. Best muskie's in WI is the Chippewa Flowage.

Do I detect some Muskie fever in you 495?? My brother has been calling me on his cell Phone from Leach all Week and has been rubbing it in pretty good.....

Normally I'm not a jealous person but in this case.......

Hi, Cirhere.

I don't know if it is still the good fishing hole it was 20-30 years ago, but back then the best kept secret musky fishing hole in that territory was Big Sissabagama Lake near the town of Stone Lake. It's about 10 miles south of Hayward as I recall.

In those days it had no snakes at all, just muskys, walleye, forage and both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

I have some great memories of that place.

Good luck. :)

Gonefishn.......Do you smell that.......smells like MUSKY fever! How's your brother doing on Leach? Wonder how the walleye are. JB, been going to Hayward for years, never fished the lake you referred to. But now that you mention Hayward; I stayed in Winter a few years back and fished Winter lake with a proffessional fisherman, the Musky action was fantastic. That was my first real taste of Musky and been hooked ever since.

Re: wisconsin

I think so 495..JB might be a little down because LOTW is no longer in his plans in Sept. Hey JB they will wait for you til next year but I'm sorry I Can't wait. Be there or be square because the last week of Sept is all mine. Leach is a little slow on the Walleye 495. Has been puling up some heavy Large mouth and heavy Northern. He did share with me that he tried to pull up a 20 plus with just his pole and broke it. No worry, if I had his money I'd just have to burn mine.

Next year 495 Lake Whinny or bust. Beer is on me........

Re: wisconsin

I'm already booked for the 14th thru the 21st of June. Can't wait and this time I have a group of 12 already on the roster. We will be dragging up 4 boats and alot of beer. Got some hill-billy, fishing, truck driver's going that are just good people. One of them hauls this makeshift roatissorie up everywhere he goes. Went to Green lake in May and did 50lbs of Black Angus beef, talk about delicious!!!! When will you be up there? We definately have to get together this time.
