Well I haven't used my boat in a little over a month. It's been in the shop all this time because of a back ordered part.:( Bummer. I am intertaining all offers to take me out for a boat ride!!!:D

A month for a backordered part?... I'd be calling every dealer looking for what you need. No matter what the part is, somebody has to have a new or used one on the shelf.

I'm too old & too fat to do my own work. After this go round I think I may go on a diet and take some jeritol.

Re: Withdrawal symtoms

Your thread title caught me. I am going to have a different kind of withdrawal, but it may be almost as bad.
You see my boat is running great. Unfortunately it lives on an inland lake 90 miles from home and my kids & wife have me taking my 2nd half of summer vacation at the ocean starting tomorrow.
Then when I go back to work starting next Monday I work 3 consecutive, 6 day weeks due to covering vacations. So I get 2 Sundays and Labor Day Weekend. Once September comes it's sweatshirt time up here. So it won't be quite as fun as when the warm summer weather is here.
I would like to just bomb around in my boat but I don't have the time or access.

Im right there with you, have spent all summer doing an engine swap on mine so it hasn't been wet yet either. Well it did get rained on but i don't think that counts.

Re: Withdrawal symtoms

Well, I would tell you to come on up here, but with building a new house and the fact the river has been flooded for going on four weeks, I'm not getting out either.

Wonder if I could talk the wife into a long weekend down south...it HAS to be cooler than up here:rolleyes:

Re: Withdrawal symtoms

I'm with you on the withdrawl, mine went into the shop last Saturday (busted hydraulic cooler, 3 weeks old boat) and now I'm still waiting.

Kicker in the nuts is that this is the last week before school starts again for the wife for normal week day boating.

Damn merc marine and tahoe!
