I've got an old Wizard / ESKA 9.9 that my wife bought for me. So it means a lot to me. The magneto is bad and I can't seem to find a replacement that I can afford. Does anyone have one they want to sell/trade or know where to find one reasonably priced?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated...

Unfortunately the magneto is your 9.9s weak point.Apparently fails often difficult to find and very expensive.Unfortunately if there is a used mag out there its probably in a running motor. You might take the components to a small engine shop see if they may be shared by more common applications.
As I understand it the 9.9 is a Tecumseh power head perhaps Tecumseh can help.I'm sure your wife would understand if you had to retire the motor. If you
sold it whole or as parts you could put the money toward a more mainline motor.Evinrude/Johnson 9.9.Kind of like your wife bought you 2 motors.

Depending on the year, CDI makes a replacement magneto. Several places sell them including marineengine.com. hinklemarine.com. The eska part number was 610958 or 610873 for 1973 or newer, the replacement part from cdi is 110-0958. They run around $175.00.
