won't idle 1992 yamaha 200

i took out fishing run wot no problem ,on the way back the motor won't idle,and as soon i hit the choke before it die it will pick up rpm ,is that sound like fule related,i check all hose change new fuel pump,still the same,and while i out there,few time won't start,i put in nutral and forward the throttle a little then it start and run,but as soon i put in gear it die,any good advice,thanks.

how about low speed /idle circuit, try cleaning carbs and pay attention to the small jets in bottom of bowl, my 1989 175 had to have it done at least once a year,even w/ racor 10 micron, my 2004 150 needed it last week, good luck

thanks for the tip,low speed jet located in buttom of the fuel bowl?what about if low speed jet clog,i hit the choke still pick up rpm,normal?THANKS.
