Won't open up

I have a 1984 60 hp that won't open up.It starts and idles fine.and is firing on all cyl. Comp is 140 all around.Also rebuilt the carbs.Pumping the primer bulb has no effect. Could I still have carb<br />problems or a float problem. Also I have to feed it the gas slowly or it will miss and some times stall.

Had a similar problem that turned out to be fuel pump and pumping the primer bulb dindn't help matters in my case. £11 GBP well spent on a fuel pump kit did it for me.<br /><br />Best of luck Keith B...

Or you could be in need of a link & synch. In other words synchronizing the timing/throttle advance to the carb linkage so the carbs open up when the timing advances. Having mine done cost about $50 bucks. Might want to check the fuel pump first.
