after reading a lot of great and informative topics here, I think im just going to rebuild the carbs, vro, fuel pump and replace all the fuel lines. The question I need to ask is it ok to replace the old fuel lines (i believe they are plastic) with new rubber one's? I gave a better description of what the engine is doing in a previous post, to no avail so im hoping by taking other topics and applying them to my prob it will solve the issue.

It would be best if you went back to that original post, hit "reply", and simply entered the word and symbol:

which would push your problem topic back up to the 1st listing. That's letting us know that apparently we missed something so that we can get back to you. As it stands, we have no idea what your problem is except that you want to install new fuel lines. You may install new fuel lines that are available in any automotive parts store.
