Won't stay running

Have a VP aq125a... It turns over on the first turn but will only run about 2 minutes give or take and then just randomly shuts off....gonna change plugs and wires tomorrow and clean the distributor....cleaned the outside of the carb inside looks fine.... definitely getting enough gas .....any suggestions ?

Sounds electrical
Place a voltmeter on the positive side of the coil and see if power is lost. If it is then trace backwards to the key then the motor and down to the starter/battery
